The full specs are here This post is for the extra details since I now possess it. There are three small postcards that you get with the package.

-The frame itself comes loaded with 16 images which seem quite big. I'm not sure if I can transfer/copy them to a computer yet for your own self You can copy the images to your computer! I guess I will share those later. It says you can copy the files on the memory card and/or USB memory TO the frame, but not the other way around. You can erase the contents of the internal memory in the frame but not the files on the memory card and/or USB memory.

WARNING: You CANNOT open the files of the SD card on your computer. If you do, your computer will freeze! So don't open it! *finished reading the back of the contents guide*

It's quite confusing actually. Just...don't delete what came with the frame! Keep it simple.

Also, the current memory in the frame is 102 MB after the pictures have been placed into the internal memory. The 3D panorama slideshows (8 in all) are on the SD card. The memory on the SD card currently is 636.2 MB. Not that much. Hmmm...I can always just buy another SD card too!

-You can change the language! Ironically, the initial controls (selecting 'photos', 'video' etc) are in English, but the settings area is in Japanese. It also comes with a remote control and a cloth to clean the screen. There is a cord to connect the frame to the computer. The manual says that you should properly eject the frame from the computer, since it will show up just like a regular external hardware device.

Available languages:

-When connecting the frame to the computer, you cannot use the remote control. The frame comes up at 'NO NAME' but I think if you rename the frame, you may reformat it. I haven't tried, but I don't wanna find out the hard way! The drive with the 3D images should not be opened, as stated earlier. It seems you can't do anything to the frame while it is plugged into the computer. The manual says you can, but I'm still new to it.

At the moment, I'm a bit tired and running on empty. >.>; If anyone has any questions, then feel free to leave them as comments! I think this overview is lacking, but that may be entirely due to my tiredness.

Maybe if people did a bit of research, they can find all the information they need to prove that the uniform was made in the image of the SS uniforms worn by soldiers in Germany at the time of World War 2.

This blog is from the company that actually allowed Gackt to use their SS costumes for his tour. They clearly state that it is indeed a replica of the original SS uniform.
A small, summarization of the blog here, courtesy of [ profile] gackt_army

A Brief History to the Uniform
credit to [ profile] karadin for her informative post

The SS was formed as the personal bodyguard of Adolph Hitler, and expanded after his rise to power to spread into the regular German Army.

In 1932, Heinrich Himmler introduced the all-black SS uniform, which was designed by SS-Oberführer Prof. Dr. Lars Bonne Rasmussen and graphic designer Walter Heck.

While many uniforms were designed throughout the years for the SS, the all black uniform is the most well known, being designed to project authority and respect. (and subsequently, fear) The Black white red color scheme was shared by the Nazi Party,

In 1938 pale-grey uniforms began to replace the black in Germany, this was to help in blending the SS into the regular army, The original black uniform was rarely worn in Germany due to the fact that to the populace, black signified army shirkers and political-party bullies.

Overall, this uniform used in the tour is neither a SS uniform or Russian uniform. It is a costume, first and foremost. It is a tool to help tell a story. It is made in the image of the SS uniform worn by soldiers in World War 2 Germany in order to help people visualize, comprehend, and understand the true meaning of his tour:

War and people dying is a sad, terrible thing, no matter which side you are fighting on.

Would you expect Gackt to continue on with his story in a kitty suit? Yeah...didn't think so.

After both groovy_walls and I made post on this issue, we decided it was time to combine forces and make a much longer, far more rambling post. XD

This is what we'll be posting to some of the comms:

The Dears Fanclub. Why are the overseas fans excluded?
-By [info][ profile] shinimegami21 and [profile] groovy_walls

Recently, it seems one issue has begun to surface on a frequent basis. The matter of Gackt spreading his activities outside of Japan, namely his fan club opening to the international community. This has started to become a major issue, not only on the LiveJournal communities, but also on many of the smaller forums and websites.

Petition after petition have been made and sent, and the growing theme among fan-mail has become an outcry for Dears to go international. Still, Dears remains a Japanese address only fan club. This fact has started to generate hurt feelings from international fans AND a fair amount of bitterness and accusations of racism regarding Gackt.

But there are real viable reasons why Dears is not international, and why this is (if you must find fault) not the fault of the artist.

In regards to this matter, we, shinimegami21 and groovy_walls, have written an article on the matter. We do not direct this post at any one user, nor do we intend to bruise anyone's feelings over the matter. We simply hope to give explanation to the matter and perhaps eliminate some hurt feelings.

shinimegami21 is a Dears member who lives and teaches English in Japan. She will give us some insight not only into Dears itself, but also the logistic issues behind making ANY website or group available to a multilingual fan base.

groovy_walls is a business manager, and drawing on her experience in these matters, will outline why an international Dears is, in the end, not a matter of Gackt love for his fans, but one Dears Co.'s profit margin.

So please take a few minutes of your time to bear with us and read on.

In response to petitions to make DEARS international )

Straight from LJ Charity Gifts page:

With the purchase of our charity v-gift, you'll contribute to PFLAG, a network of support groups that provide resources for the health and well-being of GLBT persons as well as their friends and family. PFLAG celebrates diversity and envisions a society in which all sexual orientations and gender identities are embraced. The organization operates on the maxim that only with dignity, respect and equality can individual and collective human potential be reached. Support is welcomed by all who share in the vision of a world that doesn't foster discrimination and protects the civil rights deserved by all.

Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & GaysThe organization began in 1973 after founder Jeane Manford marched with New York City's Gay Pride Parade in a show of solidarity with her recently-beaten gay son. Manford became politically active because police were far from being a reliable or sufficient source of help with the injustice of his case. Originally PFLAG was a single support group, the first meeting of which received an attendance of only 20 people. Over the course of 35 years it has blossomed into a far reaching network of community chapters and continues to grow. For more information contact the PFLAG National Office, 1726 M Street, NW, Suite 400, Washington, D.C. 20036 USA, or visit

LiveJournal used a number of guidelines in determining which charity to support, including but not limited to the breadth of the charity's mandate, its commitment to establishing long-term, sustainable and viable programs and services, and the independent ratings of agencies like and Because of LiveJournal's international userbase, we also thought it important to pick an organization that has both national (U.S.) and international locations.

About the Purple Rhino:

Return of the Purple Rhino!
Originally created for the subway walls of 1974 Boston, the Purple Rhino represents a gentle and intelligent, yet often maligned and misunderstood creature whom, when attacked, defends itself ferociously. Its lavender color was chosen because of its association with the gay rights movement of the time; its red heart symbolizes the love uniting all peoples. Proceeds from the Purple Rhino v-gift will go the Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support for GLBT persons and their friends and families.

I actually wouldn't mind buying/receiving this gift!

His world domination is coming closerrrrrr!

Do you know the best thing about this? I can FINALLY have Gackt music on my profile! Damn time! I just wish he had songs that weren't only from Diabolos. :/ Ah well! Has anyone else added his music to their profiles? lol

Now I have a reason to go onto myspace. XD

This cute lil dog will become the latest character to help spread the word about saving the Earth. What more movitivation do you need? lol

I'm really trying to be more aware of how I use energy and such lately! I even use an eco bag when I do my food shopping. I usually forget it though. -_-;;; And I reduced the amount of electricity I use, which also saves me money on bills! XD Japan is pretty ecologically conscious, believe it or not.  For example, instead of buying another container of detergent, or anything really, you can simply buy a plastic refill pouch and refill your container. It saves money and needing to buy another plastic container.

I don't usually do updates for Gackt, cuz most of my friends do it WAY better than me! But I feel an urge to spread the news more!

My hectic day needed this pick-me-up! It kept me genki sort of throughout the day. Oh, I've also decided to use my mug at work, since I won't have to share, and I can enjoy Gackt-sama all the time! ^^;

There shall be an LJ strike this coming friday, or for those of you in different time zones, PLEASE LOOK HERE!

Why is there an LJ Strike?
Mostly in esponse to LJ Heads on how they conducted business within the past few months, especially concerning the recent removal of the creation basic accounts.

So for 24 hours, people will not post or comment on LJ.
It shall be murder for me.

What's this about?

* It's about free and ad-free LiveJournal accounts being abolished for new members, ignoring the advice from the newly-formed Advisory Board.
* It's about LJ staff trying to sneak this decision in under the radar, and when people found out, telling the users it was done 'to make the signup process less confusing'.
* It's about LJ staff failing to apologize for trying to hide the facts from view and for lying about the actual reasons for their actions.
* And finally, it's about the latest decision to hide certain user interests from the list of Most Popular Interests, some of them being fanfiction, bisexuality, sex and depression. This decision was not announced or explained in any way. Users found out for themselves.

Here is some info on why one should participate in this. Taken from [profile] yuriko_yakuza's journal:

For those of you who don't already know, there has been a strike scheduled for Friday, March 21st, 2008, during which we hope to have many members of LiveJournal provide LJ with absolutely no content for twenty-four hours. This means no posting and no commenting. If you post elsewhere and have it set up to be posted through a feed on LiveJournal, don't do it. Stay away from LiveJournal for twenty-four hours. That can't be too hard, can it? I know some of you are probably quite active on LiveJournal and will find it hard to stay away for an entire day, just as I will, but this is something that needs to be done, to show the people running LiveJournal that we're watching the changes they are making, that we're paying attention, that we're discontent, and that we want to be heard and taken in to consideration. We are not simply users who can be tossed to the side and ignored. We are the people who make up LiveJournal. Without us, without the content we create, without our words, our voices, our creativity, our participation, there would be no LiveJournal. This is a fact, and it needs to be realized and understood and then taken in to consideration when making decisions regarding the way that LiveJournal is run. The strike is only a few days away, so there isn't all too much time to prepare. While this is unfortunate, it isn't enough to keep this strike from taking place. It will take place, the second it is meant to, and it would be best to have as many people take part as possible. Please, spread the word. Spread it fast. There are only a few days to organize this. If you find that you care about LiveJournal or care about the people you interact with on LiveJournal or simply want it to remain a place where you can entertain yourself without constant censorship and money-hungry practices being thrown in without the consideration of those who use the service, act now. If you don't wish to spread the word, that is fine, but please: refrain from using LiveJournal on Friday, March 21st. Do something else for a change. It's for a good cause. (:

If you're not up to date about what is goin on with LJ, then read on!

LiveJournal/SUP is no longer allowing the creation of basic accounts after March 13th, 2008. Meaning TODAY is the last day to make a basic account. And for most of you, it's already too late!

What does this mean?

You will AUTOMATICALLY be upgraded to a plus account! Meaning there will be ads on your LJ if you made an account after March 13th.

Oh, and this was NOT mentioned in the news post! Sneaky bitches...they only stated that there is an easier way to create an account, and it's simpler. For whom? The company? Uh...yes.

For those of you with a basic account already, do not worry. I think things will still be the same, and you may not have to upgrade to a plus account. Please look at THIS POST for more information and links for your reference.

In case some of you are lazy whores individuals, let me break it down, from the knowledge I just gained in the past 20 mins:

1. no more basic after March 13th. you will be automatically upgraded to Plus
2. if you have a paid account, and your time will expire soon, you will more than likely NOT lost your usepics, but you MAY have LESS features. You will then be downgraded to a plus account. basic account. This has been edited due to finding out that if you have an account from before March 13th, 2008 you can go back and forth between basic and plus or paid.

BUT I just found out something that may be quite helpful to those using firefox!

There is an add on called Adblock Plus, which gets rid of ads on your page, so it will be like a basic account when you surf through your own journal. So go ahead and get a plus account, and get the cool features like more icons and cellphone posting and what not. Just install the plugin and VOILA! (I'm bad at french...) No more ads!

*goes to install herself, for other websites*

Truthfully, I don't really care about this new change cuz I have a permanent account, so I will never EVER see an ad on my journal. But I do care for those who will have no choice BUT to sign up for a Plus account.  So go armed properly with this information, and sign up for an account!

Good thing for loopholes!

here is an INTERESTING THREAD started by the VP of Production for LiveJournal.

Edit 2: below the cut is proof of the magic of adblock plus, provided by [profile] cindy_reddeer
